In perfect isolation…

Hi all,

Skill points to the Pink Floyd fan who knows where the title is from… anyhow hello! How is everyone doing in lock down? Chipping away at it here and taking things one day at a time. We’ve been quite tired lately; both with underlying stress at the whole state of things which has been giving me a little bit of discomfort in my knackered innards. Then of course Sarah has the extra riggors of making a little person… but we are getting there.
Some people’s plain stupidity amazes me, when I hear reports of people ignoring the guidelines and carrying on as normal. What are you thinking?! There’s enough government adverts, news headlines on how damn serious this is, and plenty of amusing videos cirling the internet telling you to stay the f@?k inside. How can it be any clearer? The more people listen and tow the line, the less this virus can spread, the less people will be badly affected, and the quicker we can get back to something vaguely resembling normal.

Right. Rant over. We are both resting as much as we can here, using the wonders of the internet to check in on people. I keep promising myself that I will get working out and make the most of the abundance of free time I have at home. I plan, as the tirdness subsides, to carry on writing and of course I plan to read more. In my youth I read a lot of fiction, using the stories as a base to let my imagination run wild. I always used to have very clear vivid imagination when reading. Not saying I don’t have it any more, its just that I don’t read as much fiction these days. Most of the reading I do is factual; enriching my horticultural knowledge base for my career. But I would like to treat myself as a change of scene.

Thanks for reading people, stay safe.

About tomcoppin

Hello! I'm Tom, and I write on two pages here on wordpress. My first is TomsCrohnsDiary where I share my experience of living life with a condition called Crohn's Disease. I started this page to raise awareness of Crohn's, as well as helping out people who have been diagnosed. My more recent page is all about self sufficiency, sharing ideas that I pick up with my fiancee Sarah. If you have any questions then feel free to message or comment and I will answer! Have a great day people. KBO
