A few thank you’s

I really don’t want to sound like I’m at the Oscars (although its only a matter of time with my flawless acting abilities), but there are a few people that I’d like to take a moment to thank for their support over the last few months. I’ve been really lucky to have an amazing group of close family and friends around me to help out, and their support – whether moral or physical – really means a lot to me, hence this post.

My family have been simply brilliant. My grandparents looked after me when I was discharged from hospital, as well as visiting me. My sister was amazing with keeping family and friends updated on how I was getting on, as well as visiting and making me laugh. My dad and his partner were a great comfort too; my dad’s partner is a nurse, who gave me an amazing amount of reassurance through her knowledge, and who managed to monitor my recovery from distance.

My housemate was another great point of contact, letting people know how I was getting on, as well as visiting me and making sure I had everything I needed when I wasn’t at home. Then there are my lovely friends, who either came to see me, or who sent get well cards and messages. Thanks to all of you!

The medical staff need a mention here too: their brilliant knowledge and attention to patient care on all levels both sides of my spell in hospital was second to none. They all worked so hard but still made time to make sure I was looked after which was great to see.

Anyone reading this who had any contact or involvement what-so-ever while I was going through this process: thank you. There’s a long list of you, but I think you’ll know who you are.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

About tomcoppin

Hello! I'm Tom, and I write on two pages here on wordpress. My first is TomsCrohnsDiary where I share my experience of living life with a condition called Crohn's Disease. I started this page to raise awareness of Crohn's, as well as helping out people who have been diagnosed. My more recent page is all about self sufficiency, sharing ideas that I pick up with my fiancee Sarah. If you have any questions then feel free to message or comment and I will answer! Have a great day people. KBO
