Waiting game continues…

Just an update on the diary, I’m still playing the waiting game to find out more information. I’m seeing a surgeon at the beginning of December, which I hope will answer a lot of questions. There is so much that I cannot plan at the moment which is frustrating. The first big thing I need an answer for is when the surgery will take place. That date in the diary will be the first massive question mark wiped off the board. Then there’s the question of how long the recovery period is likely to take, what I will physically be able to do in that period as a result of not only physical condition after the op but with medications and so on. In short the biggest questions are: “When will life return to normal for Tom Coppin?” And “Will the new ‘normal’ be the same as this ‘normal’?” A lot of things to find out…

On a plus side I have spoken to and heard from a few people who have had similar operations, and that’s made me realise that perhaps some of the worries that I have had are greatly exaggerated, mainly through not knowing much. So thanks to those people if they read this, you’ll know who you are.

About tomcoppin

Hello! I'm Tom, and have started this blog to share my experience of living life with a condition called Crohn's Disease. I've had the condition for a long time and have recently undergone surgery, hence the scar in the picture. I want to share my experiences to raise awareness of Crohn's, as well as helping out people who have been diagnosed. If you have any questions then feel free to message or comment and I will answer! Have a great day people. KBO
